Messiah Sing-Along

For 44 years, Clarendon United Methodist Church has provided biannual community Messiah Sing-Alongs under the direction of Dr. J. Reilly Lewis.  The Christmas Portion (Part I) is presented on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and Parts II and III are sung one week after Easter Sunday. This is believed to be one of the first and longest running Messiah-Sings presenting the complete oratorio in the country. Dr. Lewis leads a full orchestra, harpsichord, organ, guest soloists, and the audience in the performance of George Frideric Handel's immortal masterpiece.

The Christmas Portion (Part I) is held this year on Sunday evening, November 29th and opens with a brief pre-concert recital followed by the main event.  A reception always follows in Corry Fellowship Hall.  The church is handicapped accessible and nursery care is provided. There is no admission charge for the performance; however, a $20.00 donation is suggested.
